MANILA – It is time to set aside political issues and focus more on the country’s development matters now that the 2025 midterm elections are over, said President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
In a speech during the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas’ thanksgiving party on Saturday night, the Chief Executive said many issues need to be addressed in the last three years of his administration.
“We all wish we had better results (in the 2025 midterm elections), but you know, we live to fight another day. But now it’s time, I think, to put all the politics aside,” President Marcos said.
“It’s time to put all the issues that were raised during the election and only talk about not political issues but developmental issues, healthcare issues, education issues, agricultural issues, food supply issues, all of these issues,” he added.
President Marcos also said he wants to ask for the media’s help again in achieving the goals of his administration in the remaining years of his administration.
“I will ask (the media) to help me in the coming three years. I know that you will once again, as you did before, do a very, very good job and make a success at whatever it is that we are trying to do,” Marcos said.
“Sana naman, ako lagi kong binibilang ang araw na natitira sa term ko, at kailangan matapos natin ‘yong mga nasimulan natin,” he added.
