
MANILA – Eight Western Visayas-based volleybelles are among those who signed up for the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) rookie draft slated for June 8 at Novotel Araneta City.
Among the Region 6 rookie aspirants who submitted their draft application, six traced their roots from Negros Occidental, while the two others are from Iloilo City and Numancia, Aklan.
Coming from Bacolod City are Julianne Monares, Joan Doguna, and Erika Deloria, from Talisay City is Jessa Ordiales, and from Sagay City and Bago City are Reyann Canete and Shane Carmona, respectively.
Monares was a former standout of Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws, Ordiales from De La Salle University Lady Spikers, Deloria and Carmona from Enderun City Lady Titans, and Doguna and Canete from Lyceum Lady Pirates and San Beda Lady Red Spikers, respectively.
Pearl An Denura, formerly of National University Lady Bulldogs, is from Iloilo City, while Jerry Lyn Rufin Laurente, previously of Jose Rizal University Lady Bombers, is from Numancia, Aklan.
Several other UAAP standouts have also declared for the draft, including Mhicaela Belen, May Ann Nuique, Ayesha Juegos, Alexis Miner, Lyann De Guzman, Alleiah Malaluan, Baby Jyne Soreno, Julyana Tolentino, Jean Asis, Chenie Tagaod, Pia Abbu, Renee Penafiel, Riza Nogales, and Nica Celis.
Additional UAAP players who submitted applications include Julea Dawn Lopena, Aliah Marce, May Jeannalyn Roque, Kylene Villegas, Lyka Bautista, Jerrymie Ann Turaray, and Angela Jackson.
Coming from NCAA are Mycah Go, Kristine Adante, Cherry Mae Cuenca, Pauline De Guzman, Nenita Padua; Angelique Ledesma, Lea Tapang, Jhan Pauline Fortuno, Jamaica Villena, Maliey Amante, Karyla Jasareno, Zonxi Jane Dahab, Joan Doguna, Jan Gregorio, Reyann Cenete, Von Dimaculangan, and Winnie Bedana.
Filipino-foreign volleybelles who joined the draft are Alohi Robins-Hardy, Tia Andaya, Yveian Orpiano, Reinali Calisin, Clara Serrano, Divine Cortez, and Mary Ann Rioflorido.
Rounding out the list of draftees are Zenneth Perolino, Ivy Aquino, Gerlie Trilles, Eika Bucog, Roxanne Tan, Ezriah Martinez, and Rose Joy Pinuela, the eldest in the class at 40 years old./PN
