BACOLOD City – Two brothers died after being electrocuted along Don Pedro Avenue in Barangay Payao, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.
The victims were identified by police as Dexter Grijaldo, 45, and his older brother Roilan Grijaldo, 48, both were married and residents of Barangay Sto. Rosario in the same town.
Initial police investigation revealed that the brothers were repairing electrical wiring at a local restaurant on Monday afternoon, June 2, when Dexter accidentally touched a canopy post that had an exposed live wire, causing him to be electrocuted.
Roilan attempted to help his brother, but he too was electrocuted in the process.
The brothers were rushed to the Binalbagan Infirmary Clinic but were declared dead on arrival by the attending physician./PN
