BACOLOD Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts member Brianna Ang has mentioned the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles and De La Salle University Lady Spikers as her dream schools for college.

In an interview with Radyo Pilipinas, the Thunderbolts team captain admitted that some universities are already reaching her out, but there are still no formal talks.

“Ang preferred schools ko po ay Ateneo or De La Salle,” said the incoming Grade 12 student. “May mga schools na nag-reach out pero hindi ko pa ma-share (kung ano) dahil wala pang formal.”

If ever she picks the Blue Eagles, Ang will reunite with former Tay Tung teammates Katherine Shaine Cortez, Jihan Chuatico, Alex Montoro, and incoming Ateneo rookies Dona Mae de Leon and Ana Hermosura.

However, if she joins the Lady Spikers, Ang will have a chance to play alongside fellow Bacolodnon Angel Anne Canino.

Ang is currently part of the Thunderbolts squad competing in the Shakey’s Girls Volleyball Invitational League (SGVIL) Rising Stars Cup Division 1 competing at the La Salle Green Hills Gym.

She was also included in the Western Visayas secondary girls volleyball team that finished with a silver medal in 2025 Palarong Pambansa last week in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte./PN
