The mayor expressed his appreciation for their willingness to shoulder the expenses related to the site’s clearing and improvements.

He added that the firm will rehabilitate the double barrel drainage in order to address the problem which hampers the water flow.

On July 30, the city removed more than one meter of riprap from the warehouse area as part of its ongoing clearing operations to address drainage obstructions and prevent flooding.

Since July 21, the city has already removed over 116.2 metric tons of wet silt from Barangay Banago through desilting and clearing operations.

The operations are being carried out under the directive of Mayor Gasataya as part of the city’s immediate flood control and mitigation measures, which will also be extended to other identified flood-prone areas in this city./PN
