This year’s Ten Outstanding Ilonggos – who brought pride to Iloilo and inspire future generations – embody the spirit of resilience, innovation, and service that Iloilo City continues to uphold as it celebrates its 88th Charter Day with the theme, “Celebrating 88 Years of Resilient Innovations for Sustainable Empowerment.”
The awarding ceremony will be held during the Mayor’s Dinner this Monday, August 25, at the Ann Margaret Hall of Diversion 21 Hotel in Mandurriao district.
Filmmaker Nicolas “Nick” Deocampo os known for his pioneering work in alternative cinema and gender advocacy, using films, books, and festivals to amplify historical narratives and LGBTQ+ voices.
