CAPIZ – A 34-year-old jobless man was arrested and yielded around P612,000 worth of suspected shabu during a raid in Barangay Maralag, Mambusao town at 9:42 p.m. on August 27.
Also confiscated from alias “Ed”, a resident of the said place, were homemade 12-gauge shotgun, two live rounds of ammunition, weighing scale, and non-drug-related items.
The joint operation was carried out by the Mambusao Municipal Police Station (MPS), 2nd Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the 62nd Special Action Company of the 6th Special Action Battalion through the strength of search warrants for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
Police said Ed was classified as a high-value target.
The suspect was detained at the Mambusao MPS, pending the filing of charges./PN
