Jobless man yields over P400K ‘shabu’ in Oton drug sting

ILOILO City – Another high-value suspect was arrested in Oton, Iloilo during a drug buy-bust operation on Monday morning, September 15.

Alias “Anthony”, a 39-year-old resident of Zone1, Barangay Rizal Pala-Pala, Iloilo City, was caught by officers of the Oton Municipal Police Station (MPS) after he sold suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer at around 9:25 a.m. in the town’s Barangay Trapiche.

Oton cops together with operatives from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 and Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit Team 1 seized a total of 13 plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 60 grams and with an estimated value of P408,000.

The suspect was detained at the Oton MPS. He will be charged with violation of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
