
ILOILO City – A buy-bust operation in Barangay San Jose, Arevalo district led to the confiscation of P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu and the arrest four suspects.
The operation was carried out by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 together with Regional Intelligence Division 6, Police Drug Enforcement Group- Special Operations Unit 6, and Iloilo City Police Office Station 6, at around 9:10 a.m. on September 19.
Police identified the arrested as relatives known by their aliases “Babe”, 24, and “Kim”, 40; and siblings aliases “Louie”, 18, and “AA”, 17, all residents of Molo district. The first two were tagged as high-value targets while the siblings were street-level suspects.
Recovered were four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and four knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu, several empty sachets, P15,000 in buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia, and non-drug-related items.
The suspects are now under police custody. They are facing charges for violation of Sections 5, 11, and 26 of Article II of the Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
