GASOLINE prices will be reduced effective today, September 30, but prices of diesel and kerosene will increase anew.

In an advisory yesterday, Petron and Seaoil said price of their gasoline products would be slashed by P0.20 per liter effective 6 a.m.

However, prices of diesel and kerosene will rise further by P0.90 per liter.

Caltex will implement the same adjustments for its fuel products effective 6:01 a.m.

The adjustments, as earlier projected by an executive from another oil company, was traced to adequate gasoline supply in the region, demand for diesel in Western countries and impact of global geopolitical developments.

Last week, fuel companies implemented across-the-board hikes that ranged between P0.80 to P1 per liter, the fifth of such hikes. (PNA)
