BACOLOD City – The highly anticipated Miss Bacolod MassKara coronation night will take place this Sunday, October 12, at 7 p.m. at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum in this city.
The prestigious pageant, one of the highlights of this year’s 46th MassKara Festival, is part of the celebration that runs from October 1 to 19.
Fifteen stunning candidates will vie for the coveted crown, each representing the intelligence, beauty, and advocacy of the modern Bacolodnon woman.
This year’s official candidates are Kaye Luzuriaga, Jestine Nacionales, Faith Marie Doronila, Ashley Bernadeth de Asis, Jeremae Pacino, Janabea Gepana, Eynna Mei Lu, Daniella Cheska Giltendez, Sophia Kaye Zaragoza, Mary Angelique Faye Caballero, Roshyn Kate Jamantoc, Ysabella Wuthrich, Aleyssa Dionio, Chezzy Laguna, and Ednalyn Garcia.
Pre-pageant activities have already heightened the excitement leading up to the grand coronation night. During the Press Presentation, the candidates were formally introduced to the media, where — for the first time — two muses were chosen: one by the Legacy Media and another by the Online Press.
The ladies also showcased their talents and creativity during the Talent Presentation and the Festival Costume Competition, which featured designs inspired by Bacolod’s distinct barangay festivals.
Adding to the buildup, the Corporate Day was held on October 8 to connect the candidates with partners and sponsors supporting their advocacies for women’s empowerment, leadership, and community service.
Meanwhile, the much-awaited MassKareyna 2025 pageant was held yesterday, October 8, alongside the sashing ceremony at SM City Bacolod.
Recognized as one of the country’s biggest transgender beauty competitions, MassKareyna continues to champion inclusivity and self-expression, providing a platform for the LGBTQIA+ community to celebrate their identity and artistry through the vibrant spirit of the MassKara Festival.
Both Miss Bacolod MassKara and MassKareyna are flagship events under the Gugma Foundation’s “MassKara for All” campaign, emphasizing that beauty and purpose go hand in hand in celebrating Bacolod’s creativity, diversity, and heart.
The Miss Bacolod MassKara queen will take home a cash prize of P150,000, while the MassKareyna 2025 queen will receive P100,000./PN
