MANILA – Farm Fresh Foxies stamped their best start in franchise history after Belgian import Helene Rosseaux erupted for 36 points to carry her team past the Capital1 Solar Spikers, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22, in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Tuesday.

With the win, the Foxies remained unbeaten at 3-0 in Pool A, signaling a major leap in form for the young squad under Italian head coach Alessandro Lodi.

“I’m super proud of the team with the progress we made just the last conference,” said setter Alohi Robins-Hardy, who orchestrated the offense with 21 excellent sets and added nine points. “I’m super proud of how we are fighting and continuing to learn and grow our own name.”

Veterans Frances Xinia Molina and Trisha Tubu chipped in 13 points each, while Negrense libero Alyssa Bertolano anchored the defense with 20 excellent digs and 13 excellent receptions for a double-double output.

“We are a team that fights, we are a team that never gives up,” Lodi said. “We knew it would be a tough game — Belen and Bytsenko are two great scorers and we were prepared for it.”

Despite the defeat, Capital1 import Oleksandra Bytsenko tallied 26 points, while rookie sensation Mhicaela Belen posted 17 points and 19 excellent digs in a valiant effort for the Solar Spikers.

Meanwhile, the Choco Mucho Flying Titans bounced back from a previous loss by sweeping the Nxled Chameleons, 25-23, 25-19, 25-22.

American reinforcement Marlee Smith spearheaded Choco Mucho’s attack with 20 points built on 18 kills and two blocks.

“I think we all contributed and did our job,” Smith said. “We worked hard every day in practice, and I think it showed in our game. Win or lose, we are there together. I am just doing my best for the team.”

She added: “You just have to be resilient. It’s not gonna be what you expect every time. As long as you allow yourself to be with the team, it should be good. You will get good results.”/PN
