ILOILO – A 46-year-old man tagged as a high-value suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tigum, Pavia, Iloilo, on Wednesday, October 22.
Alias “Pope”, single, unemployed, and a resident of the town’s Barangay Anilao, was caught by joint operatives of the Pavia police station and the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company at around 9:04 p.m. after he sold a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer for P3,500.
Police seized a total of 12 plastic sachets of the said illegal substance weighing around 120 grams and approximately valued at P816,000. Also recovered were buy-bust money and non-drug-related items.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Pavia police station. He will be charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
