FUEL retailers on Monday, December 1, announced another round of mixed movements in pump prices of petroleum products, with gasoline prices set to be hiked while those of kerosene and diesel will be rolled back today.
In separate advisories, Petron Corp., Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will increase prices per liter of gasoline by P0.20, while lowering diesel by P2.90, and kerosene by P3.20.
Cleanfuel, and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry.
The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. today, December 2, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will implement the changes at 8:01 a.m. the same day.
As of press time, other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected rollbacks this week, citing the possible Ukraine-Russia ceasefire that could lift Western sanctions on Russian oil, and prospects of oversupply in the oil market.
Firms last week rolled back prices per liter of gasoline by P0.20, while hiking those of diesel by P0.60, and kerosene by P1.30.
This brought year-to-date adjustments to a net increase of P19.70 per liter for gasoline, P24.65 per liter for diesel, and P18.60 per liter for kerosene as of November 25, 2025.
LPG prices up, too
Households are also in for higher prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) this month.
Petron increased its LPG prices by P2 per kilogram starting 12:01 a.m. of December 1.
“This reflects the international contract price of LPG for the month of December,” Petron said in an advisory.
For its part, Solane also announced that it will implement a price increase in its LPG products. The price increase of P1.64 per kilogram took effect at 6 a.m. on Monday.
Last month, a rollback of LPG prices was implemented by P0.45 to P0.50 per kilogram of LPG. (GMA Integrated News)
