Toni Gonzaga denied that she and her husband Paul Soriano are going through marital issues, as a blind item about a supposed “power couple” whose marriage is on the rocks has been making rounds on social media.
Gonzaga quickly denied the allegations during a TikTok live for a collagen supplement on Tuesday, January 13, when the comment section was flooded with questions about her marriage to Soriano.
“Do not waste time sa mga nonsense, okay? It’s a waste. And dapat mga waste, fina-flush sa CR (And the waste needs to be flushed in the restroom),” she said.
The actress-host swiftly referred to the product she is endorsing, adding that “some questions” hold no value to the live.
“Katulad nito, umiinom ako ng antioxidant so lahat ng waste in my body, ifa-flush sa CR tulad sa ibang katanungan ng mga tao dito na walang kwentang questions,” she said.
(Like right now, I’m drinking antioxidants so the waste in my body will be flushed in the restroom. Just like these worthless questions of the people.)
Gonzaga and Soriano tied the knot in June 2015, and welcomed Severiano Elliott or Seve, over a year later. Their second daughter Polly was born in August 2023.
A blind item about a supposed “power couple” going through marriage problems has been making rounds on social media, with many netizens wondering which couple it was referring to.
This led to Marian Rivera and Luis Manzano denying that they have problems in their respective marriages.
Last week, Rivera issued a clarification through entertainment columnist Rose Garcia, who reached out to the actress to ask about the blind item.
“Ni-message ko si Yan (Marian). Sabi ko, ‘I’m sure aware ka sa blind item kung saan sa comments section kayong dalawa ni Dong ang binabanggit,” Garcia said in an episode of their online show “Marites University” on Jan. 8.
“Ang ginawa ni Yan, tumawag tapos [nangamusta]. Tapos ayan, itong picture na ito ay kanina lang habang magkausap kami,” she continued, showing a photo of Rivera and Dingdong Dantes all-smiles while their heads are close to each other.
Garcia added that the couple’s photo was taken during the football practice of the latter’s son Sixto.
“Sabi niya, ‘Ate, jusme. Ano ba ‘yang mga blind item na ‘yan?’ Parang sanay na sila kasi parang every year, lalo na raw ‘pag January, palaging may ganyang chika,” Garcia stated. (Hannah Mallorca © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
