DETROIT Pistons erased a 16-point first-half deficit and rallied past the shorthanded Phoenix Suns, 108-105, in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season on Thursday night (Friday in the Philippines) at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
Duncan Robinson led Detroit with 19 points, while Jalen Duren delivered a double-double of 16 points and 18 rebounds as the Pistons completed the comeback despite trailing after each of the first three quarters.
Tobias Harris knocked down the go-ahead jumper midway through the fourth period, and the Pistons held on down the stretch to secure its fourth win in five games.
Detroit overcame an inefficient shooting night from All-Star guard Cade Cunningham and continued struggles at the free-throw line. Cunningham finished with 10 points and 11 assists but missed 13 of 16 shots from the field, went scoreless from beyond the arc on seven attempts, and made just four of nine free throws.
Robinson also split a pair of free throws in the closing seconds, allowing Phoenix a final opportunity to tie the game, but Grayson Allen’s last-second 3-point attempt missed.
Allen paced the Suns with 33 points, 21 of which came in the first half, as Phoenix played without Devin Booker, who sat out due to an ankle injury. Collin Gillespie finished with 18 points, while Dillon Brooks and Royce O’Neale added 16 and 11 points, respectively.
Meanwhile, Victor Wembanyama returned from a first-quarter injury scare to score 22 points and grab 10 rebounds and lead San Antonio Spurs to a 119-101 victory over Milwaukee Bucks.
Stephon Castle added 19 points and 10 assists and Julian Champagnie had 13 points and 11 rebounds for San Antonio. The Spurs led by 39 points early in the fourth quarter.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had 21 points as Milwaukee suffered its third straight loss and its second straight lopsided loss after being booed at home during a 139-106 setback to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.
