THE UNIVERSITY of San Agustin (USA), through its Center for Chemical Biology and Biotechnology (C2B2) and the Center for Natural Drug Discovery and Development (CND3), has secured its third patent, covering an isolated Streptomyces strain and its antimicrobial compositions derived from marine sediment resources.
This milestone reflects the university’s continued commitment to excellence, responsible stewardship of natural resources, and the translation of research into meaningful applications.
From the first patent to the third, a clear and intentional pathway has been established: from discovery to protection to translation and impact.
