Aklan to open ‘Hinuguran It Akeanon’ Trade Fair today

AKLAN — The “Hinuguran It Akeanon” Trade Fair will officially open today, April 23, at the Aklan Trade Hall located within the Capitol Grounds here.

The event will feature the Hinuguran Village, which will showcase a wide array of high-quality local products from the province. These include piña textile, handicrafts, home décor, fashion accessories, and food items produced by 94 Aklanon micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

In addition to the exhibit, eight companies have been invited as institutional buyers to attend the trade fair and visit selected production sites of Aklanon MSMEs, providing opportunities for potential business partnerships and market expansion.

The formal opening ceremony is set at 5 p.m., followed by a fashion show at 7 p.m. highlighting locally crafted products and designs.

This year’s activity carries the theme “Pagpadayon it Aton Panublion: 70 Years of Aklanon Heritage, Pride and Progress,” underscoring the province’s commitment to preserving its cultural heritage while advancing local industries./PN
