CAPIZ — The Provincial Government of Capiz has been recognized as compliant with the 2025 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) standards, reflecting its commitment to transparency, accountability, and sound financial management.
The recognition, conferred by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), was achieved under the leadership of Gov. Fredenil H. Castro.
The GFH certification is awarded to local government units (LGUs) that demonstrate compliance with government standards on fiscal accountability and transparency in the management of public funds.
According to the provincial government, the recognition affirms Capiz’s commitment to responsible governance and prudent management of its financial resources.
Provincial officials said the certification highlights the effective stewardship of the province’s treasury, ensuring that public funds are utilized for development programs and essential services that directly benefit Capisnons.
The provincial government added that the achievement reflects its continued efforts to promote sustainable development and improve the quality of life of residents through transparent and accountable governance.
“This recognition serves as a testament to the province’s dedication to good governance and responsible fiscal management,” the provincial government said in a statement.
Officials noted that the GFH designation not only recognizes past accomplishments but also challenges the provincial administration to sustain high standards of integrity, transparency, and efficiency in all financial transactions.
