ILOILO – Police seized around P476,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a high-value target in a buy-bust operation on August 19 in Barangay Rosario, Dumangas town.
The suspect identified as alias “Janjan,” 31, a resident of Dumangas, yielded 13 plastic sachets of the said illegal substance weighing approximately 70 grams, including the buy-bust item, to a police poseur buyer at around 7:45 p.m.
Also confiscated were buy-bust money and non-drug-related evidence.
The said operation was executed by the Dumangas Municipal Police Station’s (MPS) Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) in cooperation with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Group – Special Operations Unit 6 (PDEG-SOU 6).
The suspect was detained at the Dumangas MPS as authorities prepared charges against him for violating the Republic Act 9165, of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
