ILOILO – Operatives of the Pototan Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested a 31-year-old woman tagged as the town’s No. 5 most wanted in Barangay Monpon, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
Police identified the suspect by the alias “JP,” a resident of Barangay Tuburan, Pototan.
Members of the Pototan MPS Tracker Team, led by Police Major Dominick Parreño, apprehended the suspect around 2:43 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, by virtue of a bench warrant of arrest for violation of Section 10(A) of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The warrant was issued on August 19, 2026 by the Family Trial Court, Branch 6 in Dumangas town, with no bail recommended.
Police Colonel Bayani M. Razalan, director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), commended the operating unit for the successful operation.
“This accomplishment demonstrates the commitment and determination of our police personnel to locate and arrest wanted persons, particularly those identified as priority targets in our communities,” said Razalan. “We will continue to strengthen our tracking and law-enforcement efforts to ensure that individuals with standing warrants are brought before the proper courts and made accountable under the law.”
The suspect is currently in the custody of Pototan MPS for proper disposition prior to being turned over to the issuing court./PN
