BACOLOD City — The Bacolod City Government has launched a dedicated public assistance hotline aimed at making government services more accessible and responsive to residents.

The BCD Hotline, officially launched on September 7 at the City Mayor’s Office at the Bacolod City Government Center, may be reached at (034) 479-6100.

Mayor Greg Gasataya said the hotline is intended to improve public assistance and strengthen communication between the local government and residents by providing a centralized channel for inquiries, concerns and requests involving city government services.

The hotline operates seven days a week, from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., allowing residents to seek assistance beyond regular government office hours.

Among the services and concerns that may be coursed through the hotline are scholarship assistance, medical and burial assistance, BacCHP, social pension, garbage collection and sanitation, traffic management, infrastructure and public works, permits and licenses, and civil registrar services.

Edrian Robete, officer-in-charge of the Management Information Technology and Computer Services (MITCS), said callers will be provided with a reference or ticket number for their concerns.

Residents may use the reference number to monitor the status of their requests through the city’s case-tracking system at the BCD Hotline tracking portal.

For emergencies, residents may continue to call the localized 911 Emergency Hotline, which remains available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Jovelyn Datoon, coordinator of the Public Employment Service Office, said the new hotline forms part of the city government’s efforts to make public services more accessible, responsive and efficient for Bacolod residents./PN
