ILOILO City – Complaints hotline 8888 established by President Rodrigo Duterte has been receiving positive feedback from citizens across the country, according to the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

CSC manages the hotline.

“Ang aming mga natatanggap na feedback ay magaganda,” said CSC chairperson Alicia dela Rosa-Bala during the CSC Region 6 Honor Awards Program held here recently.

The 8888 24-hour hotline is a measure to fight corruption in government agencies.

Bala said CSC is making sure that calls, complaints or praises received by their call center agents are referred to the appropriate government agency and concerns are properly addressed.

“Dahil gusto namin na hindi lang ni-refer, dapat bumalik sila sa amin na natugunan ang hinaing,” she said.

But callers do not only convey complaints. Bala said they also provide suggestions on how services could be improved.

“Ang ating mga ahensya ng pamahalaan ay lalong nagsusumikap para mabilis ang serbisyo sa taong bayan,” she said.
The hotline serves as platform to where people can convey their concerns to government agencies. (PIA-Iloilo/PN)
