ILOILO City – An Indian national fought back when two men tried to rob him in Barangay Rumbang, Pototan, Iloilo. He got shot.
The 33-year-old Buta Singh of Molo district was treated at The Medical City for a gunshot wound on his left hand.
The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 18, according to Pototan police chief, Senior Inspector Bonifacio Alabe.
Singh was on his way back to Iloilo City driving his motorcycle but two men blocked his way.
The robbers fled after their skirmish with Singh attracted public attention.
Alabe said a witness identified two suspects – Francis Patriarca and Danilo Bernardero both of Barangay Rumbang.
As of this writing, the police were hunting the two men.
“We are coordinating with the families of the two suspects for their peaceful surrender,” said Alabe./PN
