ILOILO – Some 3,000 jobs are up for grabs. The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) is holding a Christmas job fair at the provincial capitol today.

According to PESO-Iloilo head Francisco Heler, 123 local and overseas employment agencies are joining the job fair. Of these, 96 offer local employment while 27 offer overseas jobs.

Among others, the agencies are looking for the following:

* technicians

* accountants

* massage therapists

* cleaners/janitors

* seafarers

* beauticians

* manicurists

* security officers

* architects

* general nurses.

Also available, according to PESO, are medical-related jobs, education-related jobs, information technology-related jobs, automotive- and electricity-related jobs, and engineering-related jobs.

The job fair is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Some municipal governments will be offering free transportation to their constituents joining the job fair.

Special lanes will be made available for indigenous peoples (IPs), survivors of super typhoon “Yolanda”, solo parents, and persons with disabilities./PN
