ILOILO City – Advocates against corruption, terrorism, illegal drugs, and crimes in this city and Iloilo province have banded together and call their group Task Force KASANAG (Katilingban sang Nagahilihusa).

This civil group organization is partnering with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, too.

“We will help bring public complaints to the attention of concerned government agencies” said John Chong, chief of Task Force KASANAG.

Their advocacies are in line with the Duterte administration’s program against corruption, crimes, illegal drugs, and terrorism, he stressed.

Chong was the former national deputy commander of Task Force Crusaders based in Bacolod City. He left the group, he said, because some members were apprehended for illegal drugs and some became “uncontrollable” already. He did not elaborate.

Chong said Task Force KASANAG counts on its members’ spirit of volunteerism.

They will put up a “KASANAG Coordinating Center” in Region 6 to recruit more volunteers, he said./PN
