AIKO Melendez’s recent weight-loss progress caught the attention of netizens, with some speculating that she has been taking Ozempic to help her shed pounds.
Ozempic is a prescription medication used to lower the blood sugar levels of individuals with diabetes. The drug also became popular as a weight-loss medication among Hollywood stars.
The actress-politician showed herself all smiles in her red tube top and plum hair, through her Instagram page last Friday, Aug. 15. Noticeably, Melendez’s face and arms looked slimmer.
“Good AM! Each sunrise is life’s gentle reminder that you have another chance to grow, to smile, and to make today a masterpiece,” she captioned her post.
Fellow celebrities including Korina Sanchez and Karen Davila then complimented Melendez’s figure via the comments section.
Meanwhile, one Instagram user seemed curious about how the actress successfully lost weight.
“Nag-Ozempic ho yata siya for weight loss. Not good. Too skinny,” the netizen said, to which Melendez replied with a clarification, “Nope. No Ozempic for me. I have a meal replacement.”
In a succeeding post, Melendez also gave a glimpse of her active lifestyle.
“There is good in everything,” she said, adding the hashtag “workout.”
