ALL transmission lines and facilities remained under normal operations as of 1 p.m. on Friday, July 18, amidst the impact of Tropical Storm “Crising”, according to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).

The power system operator and transmission service provider has implemented the necessary preparations and precautions to minimize the impact of “Crising” on transmission operations and facilities.

“Preparations include ensuring the reliability of communications equipment, availability of hardware materials and supplies necessary for the repair of damage to facilities, as well as the positioning of line crews in strategic areas to facilitate immediate restoration work,” it said.
