ANNE Curtis clapped back at a netizen who questioned why she received a hosting award for “It’s Showtime” despite her frequent absence from the show.

Curtis made the clarification through a Facebook comment saying the recognition was based on her work from the previous year. This stemmed from a netizen’s comment that “Filipino awards are strange, as the one who is always absent got honored.”

Apparently feeling alluded to, the actress-host then flippantly took to X to explain that they can expect she will not receive any more awards this year.

GIGIL NILA AKO E. Hayaan nyo, makakaasa kayo wala akong hosting award next year because I was absent for half of this year, acting for two different projects, one that I have yet to finish. Happy? Right,” she wrote.

In a separate post, Curtis said that she would not let the harsh words hurt her as she confirmed her attendance for July 1, Tuesday, episode of the noontime show.

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but as of 10:40 am, I’ve decided to not let the words hurt me. Ok! See you guys on @itsShowtimeNa today! Ayoko na ma bad vibes! Iwan ko lang yan kay Mia Hernandez,” she wrote, referencing her character in “It’s Okay to Not be Okay.” Curtis, who’s a mainstay host of “It’s Showtime,” has been the subject of memes on social media due to her limited attendance on the variety show because of her packed schedule.

Last month, “It’s Showtime” conducted a fun survey about the possibility of Curtis ending her three-day attendance streak, gathering numerous reactions from netizens.
