
ANTIQUE – The province of Antique remains under Alert Level 2 from May 1 to May 15, 2022, except for the towns of Tobias Fornier, Anini-y, San Jose, and Sebaste which are under Alert Level 1. This was announced by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) on Friday, April 29, 2022.
According to the Department of Health (DOH) in Region 6, 62.19 percent of Antique’s target population of 498,263 are fully vaccinated.
Negros remains on Alert Level 2 also while Iloilo Province, Iloilo City, Capiz, Aklan, and Bacolod City are under Alert Level 1 from May 1 to May 15.
Based on the amended metrics of the IATF-MIED, here are the criteria for de-escalating the alert level of the province, city, or municipality to Alert Level 1.
* At least 70 percent of the target population has been fully vaccinated.
* At least 70 percent of the target senior citizens population has been fully vaccinated.
* The city or town must belong to a region or province with a low-risk (less than 50 percent) total bed utilization rate.
Under Alert Level 1, which is described by the Department of Health as the new normal, intrazonal, and interzonal travelers are allowed regardless of age and comorbidities.
All establishments, persons, or activities are permitted to operate, work, or be done at full onsite capacity, provided that health standards are observed.
In-person or “face-to-face” classes for basic education will be subject to the approval of the Office of the President./PN
