
BAGO CITY, Negros Occidental – Area 7 emerged as overall champion at the close of the Negros Provincial Meet 2019 at the Manuel Torres Sports Center here.
Julian Pranisa proved to be the fastest girl in Negros Occidental. She topped the secondary girls 100-meter dash to add to the 200-meter dash gold she won on Wednesday.
The meet closed on Thursday. It served as qualifier for the WVRAA Meet slated next year in Aklan.
Tristan Plotria scored another gold medal. He ruled the secondary boys 100-meter event, with Bryle Lianda finishing with bronze.
Ciara Largavista added to her gold medal collection another one by ruling the secondary girls 800 meters. Fellow Area 7 runner Reah Mae Cainoy bagged the bronze.
The Addy and Miguel Arca-mentored tracksters finished with 15 golds, three silver and five bronze medals.
NOPSSCEA’s athletics players netted their first gold medal in the secondary girls 4×100 meter relay behind sisters Antonette Jay and Krisha Aguillon, Dona Mae De Leon, and Bianca Seroy.
Antonette Jay, De Leon and Delotavo sisters Ara Rahbea and Shalthea finished with silver in 4×400 relay. The Aguillon sisters also won the silver and bronze medals in the secondary girls 100 meter dash behind Pranisa./PN
