BACOLOD City – A man was shot fatally in his house in Barangay Malasibog, Escalante City, Negros Occidetal.
Police identified him as 33-year-old Arjie Buenavista who sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the body.
The shooting happened around 8:40 a.m. on Oct. 10, a police report showed.
At least 10 unidentified gunmen suddenly barged into the house and one of them fired at Buenavista, the report added.
Before fleeing to the mountainous area of Sitio Minaungka in the said village, the suspects ransacked the house of the victim as his personal belongings were in disarray.
Recovered from the crime scene were three empty shells of a .45-caliber pistol and a dude bullet of an M16 riffle.
As of this writing, the gunmen remained unidentified. Police have yet to determine the motive in the killing as well./PN
