BACOLOD City – Eight punong barangays in this city, including Liga ng mga Barangay president Lady Gles Pallen, were victimized by “prank” food orders.
According to Pallen, punong barangay of Taculing, she was surprised when a food delivery serviceman delivered food to the barangay hall in the evening of Aug. 30. The man said Pallen was the one who ordered the food online worth P506.
“Ginbayran ko na lang ang nag-deliver kay nalooy ako sa iya,” Pallen said.
Later, Pallen found out that punong barangays Glo-Ann Tambasen (Montevista), Ruben James Miranda (35), Rosinie Distrito (Singcang-Airport), Rodney Carmona (Sum-ag), Yolanda Noble (Pahanocoy), Leah Palma (Barangay Punta Taytay), and Lito Abaring (Bata) were also victimized by prank orders.
Pallen said they have no idea who made the prank.
Pallen noted that under the receipt, the phone number appears to be under an international code.
They have considered seeking help from proper authorities.
“Kalooy lang sa food delivery man kon indi pag bayaran sang nabiktima sang prank order indi na maulian pa,” Pallen said./PN
