BACOLOD City — A couple’s affairs must be none of the neighbors’ business.
Suspecting that they helped his live-in partner escape, a man hacked his two neighbors in the evening of Aug. 6 in Barangay Singcang–Airport here.
Enraged and intoxicated by alcohol, Romeo Blanca stoned the house of Domingo Antonio and son Judy Mark, said Senior Inspector Ser Ulrick Christian Gelera, Police Station 6 head.
Blanca accused the father and son of helping his live-in partner, a certain Rena, leave their house when he was not around.
He claimed that Judy Mark lent Rena a hand in bringing her personal belongings into their house, police said.
The couple was allegedly having frequent fights recently.
Blanca destroyed the Antonios’ window. Upon seeing what Blanca did, Judy Mark called his father.
The father and son — armed with a nightstick and a steel pipe, respectively — chased Blanca.
A commotion ensued among the three, but unknown to the father and son, Blanca was armed with a jungle bolo.
Domingo and Judy Mark, both residents of Calong-Calong, Zone 1, Barangay Singcang–Airport, were rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
Domingo had hack wounds in the head and stomach, while Judy Mark sustained a wound in the back. Blanca is at large as of press time./PN
