BACOLOD City – Two men landed in jail after police caught them engaging in illegal gambling in Purok Chereza Dos, Barangay 27.
The 28-year-old Gabriel Catolico and 36-year-old Sebastian Lo – residents of Barangay 27 – were arrested around 3:15 a.m. on Saturday, a police report showed.
They were caught in the act of playing an “illegal shell game,” police said.
Confiscated from them were four batads (seashells) and P200 gambling money.
Catolico and Lo were detained at the Police Station 4 lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling./PN
