BACOLOD City – A total of 1,600 summer jobbers will receive their salary from the city government this week.
The summer jobbers worked for the city under the Public Employment Services Office (PESO).
PESO head Ma. Rebecca Balicas said they will be releasing the salaries starting today or tomorrow.
Each of the summer jobbers, who are beneficiaries of the Special Program for Employment of Students, will get about P3,000 each for their 15-day work.
Balicas said the late disbursement of the salaries was due to the summer jobbers’ delay in the submission of their daily time records, which is one of the requirements for the payroll.
To claim their salaries, the summer jobbers must get their pay slips at the PESO and present them to the City Treasurer’s Office together with their community tax certificates./PN
