BACOLOD City – In Barangay 22 here, a resident of Bago City, Negros Occidental was arrested.
Operatives from the Intelligence Unit – Special Operations Group of the Bacolod City Police Office caught Jimmel Awacay collecting and soliciting bets for the illegal numbers game jai-alai, a police report showed.
The 21-year-old resident of Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City was detained at Police Station 1 after his arrest on Aug. 16.
Betting stubs, tipsters with the codename “Libra,” a black ball pen, P130 bet money, and a motorcycle were seized from the suspect./PN
