PASSI City, Iloilo – Amistads/TEJ Builders and the Department of Public Works and Highways 2nd DEO/J. Cordon/Double J stayed undefeated in the 1st Pintados de Pasi Invitational Open Basketball Tournament at the City of Passi Arena here on March 2.
Amistads/TEJ Builders cruised to its third consecutive win by handing Guimaras Leopards its first loss in three games, 125-83. Jofem Badoles finished with 13 points, six assists, three steals and two rebounds for the winning team.
“Slowly but surely our team is getting the chemistry,” said Amistads/TEJ head coach Rodel Camacho. “But we cannot be complacent because we will still be facing tougher teams down the stretch.”
Department of Public Works and Highways 2nd DEO/J. Cordon/Double J also recorded its third consecutive victory in as many games with a 93-81 beating of the JKG Mamba, whose win-loss record is now at 1-2.
Filino Arenal tallied a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds while also tallying for three assists and a steal for the winning team.
The cage wars resume this evening with the Leopards taking on JKG Mamba at 6 p.m., followed by the showdown between TEJ Builders and Hercor College Jaguars at 7 p.m./PN
