BB GANDANGHARI earned another feather in her cap after graduating summa cum laude from her Entertainment Business degree at the Los Angeles Film School.

Gandanghari expressed her delight after finishing her second degree on her Instagram page on July 11 while sharing a clip of herself unwrapping her toga.

“Life is about second chances. It’s about new opportunities for growth, forgiveness, and new beginnings… so help me God,” she wrote.

The actress also shared a video of herself posing in one of the school’s corridors, and a snippet of the graduation ceremony on Instagram.

“Being summa cum laude is not without hard work, discipline, perseverance, [and] determination. As much as I am proud of this achievement, I am also proud as a working student of having perfect attendance and never [being] late in my classes during the entire course,” she wrote.

“I am also awarded as Student of the Month and a member of the Honor Society of Los Angeles,” she added.

Gandanghari’s recent milestone was praised by her brother, actor-turned-lawmaker Robin Padilla, on his Facebook page on Sunday, July 13, where he shared an art card of the former in her toga.

“I wholeheartedly extend my congratulations to my sister, BB Gandanghari, who finished summa cum laude in Filmmaking. I’m so proud of you, and I admire your hard work and determination to reach your dreams. I salute you! Long live your success!” said Padilla.

The former action star also received congratulatory messages from her followers in the comments of her posts, including fellow celebrities Arlene Muhlach and Jaya.

Gandanghari, who came out as a transgender woman in 2009, is now based in the US. She has been a US citizen since 2022, although she constantly visits her family in the Philippines.

Earlier this year, she enjoyed a Taiwan getaway with Robin Padilla, her sister-in-law Mariel Rodriguez, and her mother. (Hannah Mallorca © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
