BACOLOD City – In a move to strengthen operational efficiency and improve public service delivery, the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has implemented a reshuffling of key personnel across several stations and units.

A formal turnover and assumption of duties ceremony was held on July 2 at the BCPO Conference Room, led by BCPO director Colonel Joeresty Coronica. The event marked the transition of command among station commanders, unit heads, and headquarters staff officers.

Among the key changes include Major Elmer Bonilla, formerly the station commander of Police Station 4, who is now assigned to head the Traffic Enforcement Unit. Major Marc Joeil Reclamado, who was previously assigned at Police Station 5, has assumed leadership of Police Station 4.  Meanwhile, Captain Hazel Oropel, former deputy force commander of the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company (BCMFC), now serves as the station commander of Police Station 5.

Reassignments were also made among the BCPO headquarters staff. Captain Ma. Liberty Indiape, formerly the Public Information Officer (PIO), is now the officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD). Lieutenant Rowena Jean Magan, the previous OIC of WCPD, has been reassigned as the DEPUTY STATION COMMANDER of Police Station 10. Lieutenant Meller Dionio, who previously served as Deputy Chief of the City Intelligence Unit (CIU), now assumes the role of BCPO’s new Public Information Officer.

Coronica lauded the outgoing commanders and unit chiefs for their commendable service and urged the newly designated officers to embrace their new assignments with professionalism and dedication.

“This reassignment is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening the overall performance of our personnel in the field,” Coronica said. “We place our people where they are most needed — where they can best contribute to the mission of ensuring peace, order, and public safety.”

He added that the reshuffling is part of BCPO’s regular personnel movement program, which also serves to support the professional growth and development of its officers.

The latest round of reassignments underscores BCPO’s commitment to adaptive leadership, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement in law enforcement service delivery for the people of Bacolod./PN
