MANILA – Iloilo 4th District representative Ferjenel Bironon on Monday urged the local government agencies to act on the corruption being done to those who want to open businesses in the country.

Biron, who chairs the House committee on trade and industry, said corruption and delayed release of business permit, license and clearance turns off the local and foreign investors.

Biron also noted that his committee began to hear four proposed bills, which include his and Rep. Arthur Yap’s house bills no. 5031 and 5093, which will create ease of doing business commission.

The House committee has also tackled house bills no. 2171 and 4838, which was authored by Batangas Rep. Vilma Santos-Recto and Misamis Oriental Rep. Peter Unabia, respectively, which aim to create a technical working group./PN
