BACOLOD City – A man was arrested in an anti-drug operation in Barangay 1 Poblacion, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental. A companion, however, managed to flee.
The arrested suspect was Romnick Bigay while his now at-large companion was Ramni Marfil. Both were residents of the village.
The drug sting around 6:26 p.m. on Oct. 13 led to the recovery of nine sachets of alleged shabu worth P6,800, P500 marked money and other paraphernalia.
Bigay was detained at the police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 would be filed against the suspects./PN
