BACOLOD City – A 46-year-old farmer died after he was attacked and gored by his own carabao in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, police confirmed.
The victim, identified as Arnold Maravilla, a resident of Hacienda Barbara in the city’s Barangay Burgos, was tending to his carabao at an open field in Crossing Martisan around 7:30 a.m. on Monday, September 8, when the incident occurred.
According to the Cadiz City police, the carabao suddenly went wild without apparent reason and attacked Maravilla, hitting him in the chest with its horn.
The victim sustained a fatal injury to the left side of his chest. His relatives rushed him to the Cadiz City District Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physician, Dr. Ritchie Arnold Sayson. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
