
BACOLOD City – A man was shot dead in Barangay Marcelo, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
Resident Ponciano Concepcion, 47, sustained a gunshot wound on the body, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as 65-year-old store owner Vivincio Patajo.
According to police investigators, Concepcion was having a drinking session at the store of Patajo when a heated argument ensued between them.
This prompted Patajo to fire at Concepcion around 6 p.m. on July 25.
Concepcion was rushed to the Calatrava District Hospital where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Calatrava municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against the suspect, who fled after the shooting./PN
