BACOLOD City — A 21-year-old call center agent here may have forgotten a basic rule when using light switches or near electrical wires.

Lorna Casugod was electrocuted while she was taking a bath at about 8 p.m. on Monday in her boardinghouse at the N & G Building in Barangay 22 here.

Casugod of Barangay 2, Pontevedra town was surprised when their bathroom’s light suddenly went out, police said.

She was trying to locate the light switch when she accidentally touched the wire connected to it, according to Police Station 1.

Some of her roommates called for police assistance, while others continued to forcibly open the door.

Casugod’s roommates managed to break through but found her gasping for breath.

They rushed Casugod to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival.

The victim’s family went to this city upon knowing about the incident.
