CAPIZ – This province’s delivery of health services gets a boost with the Bagong Pilipinas mobile diagnostic clinic.
The provincial government led by Gov. Fredenil Castro officially received the mobile clinic on Friday, August 16.
First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the ceremonial turnover of the mobile clinics to 16 Visayas provinces, including Capiz, in Cebu City on August 5.
The project, inspired by Araneta-Marcos’ “Lab for All” initiative, aims to bring free medical consultations, laboratory services, and distribution of medicines to communities.
The mobile clinic, which will be deployed to isolated and far-flung communities, is equipped with x-ray machine, ultrasound examination light, reagent refrigerator, binocular microscope, stethoscope, ophthalmoscope, clinical centrifuge, hematocrit centrifuge, hematology analyzer, handheld electrolyte analyzer, and a telemedicine set.
To recall, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. announced during his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) in July that all provinces in the country would be given mobile clinics, marking a significant step in enhancing healthcare services in the country.
“Titiyakin natin na ang bawat isang probinsya ay mabibigyan ng mobile clinic upang ang laboratory exam at ilan pang pangunahing serbisyong-medikal ay mapapalapit natin sa ating mga kababayan,” the President said./PN
