CAPIZ – In a bid to strengthen the operational capabilities and responsiveness of police units, the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO), led by Colonel Albert D. Tapulao, received a significant donation of equipment from the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) on July 14, at Camp Martin Teofilo B. Delgado in Iloilo City.
The turnover ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials and law enforcement representatives, underscoring the importance of the initiative in enhancing public safety and security across the region.
The CPPO was among several police units that benefited from the logistical support aimed at boosting their capacity to maintain peace and order in various communities.
Among the equipment received were 15 high-quality waistcoat vests and two ballistic plates, designed to provide added protection for police personnel during high-risk operations.
Additionally, the CPPO received 21 life vests, which are essential for personnel engaged in rescue missions, water patrols, and disaster response operations.
The turnover also included four replacement batteries for body-worn cameras — an important tool for enhancing accountability and transparency in police operations.
The CPPO was also provided with 40 new tires to help keep patrol vehicles in optimal condition, thereby improving mobility across the province’s municipalities and barangays./PN
