ROXAS City – The Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) has officially resumed its Pulisteniks program, also known as the Regular Physical Conditioning Program, on June 8, at Camp Teodorico C. Apil in Barangay Lanot here.

The initiative is part of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) ongoing efforts to ensure the physical fitness and mental resilience of its personnel— key components in effective law enforcement.

Pulisteniks involves a series of structured physical exercises and conditioning routines aimed at enhancing strength, stamina, mental alertness, and overall wellness among police officers. The program not only improves physical capabilities but also sharpens focus and discipline, especially when responding to high-pressure situations in the field.

“This initiative is not just about stretching or running laps. It is about recognizing a simple truth that too often gets overlooked: A healthy body is a healthy mind,” said PNP Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III in a statement.

The CPPO underscores the importance of wellness in public service, affirming that physically fit and mentally prepared officers are better equipped to uphold peace and ensure the safety and security of the community.

Through sustained implementation of Pulisteniks, the CPPO aims to foster a culture of health and discipline within the police force — empowering its members to serve with greater efficiency, reliability, and integrity./PN
