CARLO Aquino and Julia Barretto are teaming up anew for the upcoming film “Hold Me Close.”
In an Instagram update on March 27, VIVA Films and Viva Artists Agency released poster-like photos of Aquino and Barretto who are currently filming scenes in Japan.
“Konnichiwa! @juliabarretto X @jose_liwanag #HoldMeClose NOW FILMING in Japan with Jairus Aquino and Migo Valid. Written and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana. COMING SOON!,” the post read.
In the comment section, fans of the two artists were thrilled by the announcement of the new project.
Over a week ago, “Hold Me Close” was teased by Laxamana as he uploaded photos of Aquino and Barretto during their look test.
Aquino and Barretto also posted about their upcoming project in their respective Instagram accounts.
Aquino and Barretto first teamed up in 2022 for “Expensive Candy,” a film written and directed by Laxamana.
Prior to “Expensive Candy,” Barretto worked with Laxamana for her 2019 movie “Between Maybes” in which she co-starred with her boyfriend, Gerald Anderson.
Last January, Aquino went to Japan to film his reunion movie with actress Barbie Imperial.
Barretto is also set to star in the upcoming dramedy series “Secret Ingredient.” (ABS-CBN News)
