CAPIZ – Re-electionist Fredenil “Oto” Castro secured his position as governor of this province as he garnered nearly 400,00 votes.
With 100 percent of data transmitted as of 11:24 p.m. on Monday, May 12, the 2025 National and local elections partial unofficial results showed that incumbent Gov. Castro led with 384,114 votes, followed by former governor Esteban Evan “Nonoy” Contreras (61,245 votes) and Cristopher Barrio (3,677 votes).
Incumbent Vice Gov. James Mitang Magbanua also led the vice gubernatorial race with 311,295 votes.
Meanwhile, Howard Guinto was on track for his first term as representative of the 1st District. He dominated the congressional race with 140,370 votes against Paolo Roxas’ 120,397 votes.
Also, re-electionist Jane Castro won unopposed in 2nd District with 162,430 votes.
Meanwhile, incumbent Roxas City’s Mayor Ronnie Dadivas led the mayoral race with 83,421 votes against former mayor Antonio “Tony” del Rosario with only 28,913 votes./PN
